Code of Conduct
At DSA, we expect to create a climate in which all individuals are
respected, have an opportunity to grow intellectually, and are
encouraged to develop self-direction and self-discipline.

Class Schedule
The school day begins at 8:25 am. The school day is divided into three
2-hour and 15 minute periods with hourly breaks.
Durham Secondary Academy’s academic year includes four 10-week terms
that run from early September until the end of June, with breaks at
Christmas and March.
Faculty
Faculty are selected for their
teaching abilities, their academic training and life experience, their
capacity for concern and understanding, and their commitment to the
philosophy of the school. Core subjects are taught by subject
specialists and the overall student to teacher ratio is maintained at
approximately eight to one. The maximum class size is ten students.
